Rolf Walter

I have completed my bachelor in physiotherapy in 1984 in the Netherlands and have been mainly working in the following year in a hospital setting. In 1985 I went to Switzerland where I have been working in several settings (orthopedic, rheumatological medical practices and in physiotherapy practices) before starting to work as a private practioner in 1994.

I have a wide interest in all the dimensions that are required to fulfill my job at the best and am trying hard to keep up with research updates and I do my best since the very start to attend the pathways of which I believe they are mandatory to do my job in the very best way

I work as a rehabilitation consultant for a professional ice hockey club (HC Lugano) since the 2010/2011 season as well as with several other professional and non professional sporters and have done in the late eighties one of the first sportsphysiotherapy courses organised in the Netherlands as well as several courses in musculoskeletal management and in the field of strength & conditioning.
I work part-time as a teacher and as a clinical supervisor at the Master/OMPT educational program of the SUPSI in Lugano and work as a musculoskeletal senior teacher in several postgraduate courses since 2001.
I like to do regular physical activity like running, cycling, skiing, sailing and have been an enthusiastic field hockey player in the Netherlands and in Switzerland up until the age of 28 before taking up the challenge of training and coaching a Swiss field hockey team in the early nineties for two consecutive years.
